Terms of Service — Soberpedia

1. Who can use Soberpedia

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your password secure.

2. Soberpedia is not medical care

Soberpedia is a peer-support and recovery-tracking platform. SoberAI is an AI companion, not a clinician, doctor, or therapist. Nothing on Soberpedia is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional for medical decisions. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or your local emergency number immediately.

3. Community standards

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, dox, or shame any member;
Sell, promote, or distribute substances or paraphernalia;
Impersonate clinicians or claim credentials you don't hold;
Scrape, resell, or republish member data;
Use Soberpedia for emergency response — call 988 or 911 instead.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, with or without notice.

4. SoberCents & rewards

SoberCents are a community recognition system, not legal tender, securities, or a stored-value instrument. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, expire if your account is closed, and may be adjusted to correct errors or abuse. Redemption availability depends on partner inventory.

5. Verified providers

Listings in the directory are independently submitted and reviewed for basic credentialing. A "Verified" badge confirms we checked listed credentials at a point in time — it is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of outcome. Choose a provider who is right for you.

6. Your content

You own your check-ins, messages, and bio. You grant Soberpedia a limited license to host and display them solely to operate the service for you and the people you've explicitly chosen to share with.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate accounts for material violations of these Terms. On deletion, your data is removed per our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers & limits

Soberpedia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soberpedia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
